When you see how much one man has accomplished in his life, you feel that you are really wasting your life on nothing.
But mind you, it’s never too late.
You can start anytime as long as you are breathing.
Prophets get revelation typically at 40 years of age (Jesus is an exception).
But there are also so many who have started a serious life at 50 years or even more. It’s never too late!
And then, towards the end of your life, when the back has been bent, and hair is all white, and hearing and eyesight has gotten weaker, and when you look back…
Many achievers look back and re-evaluate their achievements.
Many I have known who have collected wealth and built empires, look back, and alas, the achievement reflected into restlessness and fear, for nothing will be taken to the grave, and the worry of the inheritance being lost by mismanagement looms!
Yet, the distinguished who have spent their lives on the way to God, have a big smile on their face, no worries, and the moments count toward the moment of reward and happiness when they meet the One they have worked for, a faithful lifetime – the day to meet God, Allah, The Merciful, and The Gracious.
Oh yes, you see the lifetime achievement in the faces of the people in the ceremony, in the love and gratitude to their giving for no return but gratefulness to their Creator.
To those torches that light life and make it worth living, may God bless your life and afterlife.
… and see you again, home!
