In your forties already? So, you know what middle age crisis is!
But, what are you going to do about it?
Are you just going to wait it up until it goes away and then keep on going, or you are going to seriously look into it’s root causes and solve it?
Let me tell you this piece of news:
You have this crisis in the forties for a reason, and Allah has warned you about it! Are your surprised?! Ok, read the aya in the Quran which tells the human life story and stops at the important station of forty years of age!
وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ إِحۡسَٰنًاۖ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرۡهٗا وَوَضَعَتۡهُ كُرۡهٗاۖ وَحَمۡلُهُۥ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهۡرًاۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرۡبَعِينَ سَنَةٗ قَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَيَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَٰلِحٗا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَصۡلِحۡ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِيٓۖ إِنِّي تُبۡتُ إِلَيۡكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ (١٥)
[الأحقاف 15]
“And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, “My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims.”
[Al-Ahkaf 15]
Now, did I surprise you? Yes my friend, this crisis is part of our design. It is a psychological circuit breaker that is there to sound the alarm for you to stop, look back, think, and replan your life forward!
Wake up from running after Dunia, after business, after money, after cars and villas, and fake career opportunities, and climbing corporate ladders. Now is the time to wake up and start climbing up the real ladder that you have been ignoring! The ladder to Allah!
It is time to repent from running after the fake materials to grab them in your heart, to now have them only in your hand instead of in your heart!
And then, you will start growing younger instead of growing older. Oh yes! Everyday you climb the ladder to Him, you will grow younger, because He is the Living, and we are the dead.
Make 40yrs work for you and live again!

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنۡهُمۡ أَحۡسَنَ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَنَتَجَاوَزُ عَن سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ وَعۡدَ ٱلصِّدۡقِ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ (١٦)
Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised. [16]
