You have an appointment with an acquaintance friend and you forget him standing in the street waiting for you, for half an hour!
When you arrive you think a small sorry is ok, but he thinks it is not enough! He wants compensation and might even do the same to you some later time!
You do the same with your old mother or father, but they wait for an hour!
When you arrive, you think a big sorry is due, but they are willing to accept a small one and forgive you with any small excuse, or even that you have forgotten. They want to forgive one they see you regret.
The only reason they will not immediately accept it is when they feel that they need to teach you a lesson for the benefit of your own life!
The size of the mistake is determined by whom you did it to, not there absolute mistake alone.
The size of the forgiveness depends on the greatness of love and care of the one you have mistaken towards.
Now, think of your attitude towards God!!Even small mistakes are big, because he is the greatest.
But even the biggest mistakes are small compared to His forgiveness.
The only reason He will not forgive, is when you don’t feel the mistake so don’t ask for the forgiveness! And if there are consequences to the mistake, be sure it is just Him sending you a lesson, because others will not be as forgiving and merciful to your as He is.
The biggest fool is the one who thinks his sins are bigger than God’s forgiveness, so he does not even say in his heart that he is sorry!
And remember, that you are as great as your forgiveness!
