#40: A world to bring out the best of us!

– Today someone told me:

God chooses a world of suffering and cruelty, even though he is fully capable of creating a world that is identified as functional but without cruelty or suffering.

You either accept that or accept that he is incapable of doing that and is therefore not all-powerful. Pick one because there is literally no other possibility. Is the nature of having a clearly imperfect world made by a supposedly all-powerful and perfect being.

– So I said:

I think you’re basically saying this:

“I want to be tested in a way I choose so that succeeding needs no effort from me because the test will have only trivial questions that anyone will automatically answer”.

So, you essentially say: “I want to be human without the risk, and I want the reward without the price, and I want protection from punishment by having no opportunity to make mistakes”.

In other words: “I want to be lazy, and get paid for it”.

BUT:

In a world where everyone is well off, there is no place for charity.

In a world where there are no people in crisis, there is no place for compassion.

In a world where there is no suffering, there is no place for mercy.

In a world where there is no hardship, there is no place for patience and perseverance.

The world as it is is the way it should be for a world designed to test people to exhibit those premium qualities. Those who do will be rewarded, and those who don’t will be banished.

Accept it and work to be of the favored group.

Life is short.

Don’t waste it.
