#5 Adaptation disambiguation from evolution!

(Evolution is Descent with modification by random mutation and natural selection)

It is a common observation that the same animal looks slightly different in different environments. Those changes make the animal more fit to each of its various habitats.

This can be termed “adaptation”.

Adaptation is applicable to organs that are already existing in the animal (or organism in general, but let’s use an animal as an example), and features of that specific organ. Examples are fur or feather color, hair color, skin color, limb size or length, beak color or length or shape, … etc.

Each of those possible variations of the same feature is possible due to the innate ability of the same animal to use its already existing genetic code alternatives of the same feature. Those innate alternatives are called genotypes and are essentially different variations in the genetic material related to the feature under study.
The various variations of the same feature expressed in physical form are termed a phenotype.

Phenotypes are essentially the expression of genotypes.

It is established science and established observation that certain genotypes are not always expressed, and some are expressed only under certain conditions, for example, exposure to a certain substance, exposure to certain environmental conditions, or even aging.

Epigenetics is a field of study concerned with the expression of genes, to understand the mechanisms that lead to their expression.

It is even theorized that epigenetics can be inherited from generation to generation, leading to the same species that has expressed certain advantageous features at a certain generation, to pass it to the next generation. Other mechanisms like genetic drift are also acceptable and observable.

Also, the action of natural selection over adaptations, i.e. the perseverance and spread of an advantageous gene expression (or allele /trait) in an individual versus other individuals, is acceptable, observable, and repeatable.

The matter of adaptation to the environment, together with its short, medium, and long term effects on organisms in relation to their environment is hence quite scientific and acceptable.

It must be noted though that those expressions of features are expressions of features that are already existing in genetic code, and do not involve the invention or innovation of novel functional genetic code. The number of chromosomes and the number of genes of a specific organism remains constant under adaptation.

It is hence regrettable that evolutionary claims extrapolate the effects of adaptation to a totally unrelated territory which is “Evolution” (defined as above to be led by mutation and natural selection), while the unfounded claims of evolution involve creating totally new functional genes, body plans, totally new organs, and totally new capabilities of the organism.

Essentially, adaptation means that the organisms created by God have the ability to tune to the right feature parameters of the existing genetic code through epigenetic and inheritance mechanisms so it responds and fits better to its environment. This is not only ok but is even indeed a critical feature such that creatures would survive through environmental events like climate change even if they do not migrate or change their environment.

While, Evolution makes the claims that genetic code will modify itself, through Selection over random mutations (that are essentially errors in copying genetic code), which is a claim that in essence says that software bugs resulting from errors in copying a program will make the program better!!! Which is obviously totally against science, against common observations, and is totally indemonstrable. It even claims that even completely new genetic code, new genes, and new chromosomes, will be completely innovated out of thin air by the same random and blind processes (invoking more mechanisms like duplications that are also claimed to be random). A claim that I would personally consider being an insult to the human intellect.

Asalamu alikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu sir I think we start from origin of life to show scientifically almighty Allah created life to show existence of Allah
And refute how abiogenesis impossible interms of scientific proof
    Thanks

I have three or four videos about Abiogenesis… maybe making a later course about it can be a good idea. But evolution is much more popular and much more propagated by the media, and people need to know more about it and be satisfied about the truth of its narrative.
